"Composing for Short Film" Panel with SCGI and IndieCork Festival

Emer will be speaking as part of a panel discussion with the Screen Composers Guild of Ireland on “Composing for Short Film” at the BAFTA-Qualifying IndieCork Film Festival 2022.

Introduced and moderated by Sarah Glennane and joined by composer Valerie Hely, the panel will discuss the process of commissioning and collaborating with composers to create original music score for short film.

Emer has created an original score for the short film “Forever Hold Your Peace” (Dir. Jason Branagan) and Valerie Hely has created original music for “The Tower” (Dir. Sean Breathnach)- both of which will be screened as part of the IndieCork Film Festival.

SCGI is the representative body for professional composers of original music for film. The SCGI is a not for profit organisation run by its members, for its members. The goal of SCGI is to promote the creative craft of composing original music for screen and the status and rights of Irish and Irish based Screen Composers.

Tickets can be booked for this event directly via the IndieCork website.
