Emer Landers One of 10 Composers Selected for LA Trade Mission with SCGI

Emer Landers was one of ten composers to attend the first Irish Screen Composer Mission to LA on the 27th February 2023.

Coordinated by the Screen Composers Guild of Ireland and White Bear PR, and supported by Screen Ireland and Culture Ireland, the trip included visits to Disney, Netflix, and Amazon Studios, in addition to a number of panels with some of the leading figures in the industry.

It concluded with an evening industry reception hosted by the Consulate General of Ireland in Los Angeles, which also marked the first Transa Composers event. Trasna is an initiative of the Consulate to connect Irish artists & organisations with international industry, across an array of art forms.

In addition to supporting the development of the composers in attendance, the trip also raised awareness of the wealth of resources and tax credits available to productions in Ireland.
