Eldritch Karaoke to Screen at Animation Dingle 2025
Eldritch Karaoke, featuring an original score and song by Irish composer Emer Landers, has been officially selected to screen at the 13th Animation Dingle Festival in March 2025. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Dingle Town, Animation Dingle is Ireland’s premier festival dedicated to celebrating the best in animation, bringing together students, industry professionals, and award-winning talent for two days of screenings, workshops, and networking.
Directed by Joe Loftus, Eldritch Karaoke is a unique short film that blends horror, humour, and haunting music, telling the story of a woman whose afterlife takes an unexpected musical turn after being struck by a car. The film features an original score and song by Emer Landers, with additional vocals by members of the Musical Theatre Society Entracte and a performance by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, mixed by John Elleson-Hartley.
Eldritch Karaoke continues its successful festival run after premiering at The 36th Galway Film Fleadh and screening at the Belfast International Film Festival. Now, its selection at Animation Dingle 2025 further highlights the film’s impact within the Irish animation scene.
